Hey! Look! Listen! The Great Deku Tree LEGO Set is Here!
Finally, the collaboration fans have been waiting for is The Legend of Zelda and Lego. This 2-in-1 LEGO set showcases the great Deku Tree with lush green leaves or lovely cherry blossoms.
The Great Deku Tree LEGO Set Details
LEGO’s website lists the Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 set for USD 299. The set includes 2500 pieces, and LEGO recommends it for builders aged 18 and up. The environment will also change depending on the option you choose to build.
The green-leaf version features the Kokiri forest from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, equipped with two Deku Baba plans, a Deku Tree Sprout, and various plants. Alternatively, the cherry blossom version features tall trees, a Hestu figure, and several Korok hidden for you to find. This version is in the Korok Forest from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
It’s Dangerous to Go Alone – Take These Four Mini Figures With You!
Another perk about this Deku Tree LEGO set is that it features four incredible mini figures, including Young Link and Link from Ocarina of Time and Princess Zelda and Link in their iconic blue attire from Breath of the Wild. The mini figures can be equipped with several accessories, including an ocarina, a shield, the Master Sword, and more.
This set seems more than worth it for the mini figures alone, but, understandably, the $300 price tag may deter certain builders. Here are some quotes from the experts:
“I’m really thrilled that The Legend of Zelda is joining the world of LEGO bricks, which has spurred the creative impulses of so many people of all ages.
The Deku Tree was the first element from The Legend of Zelda we wanted to represent using LEGO bricks. This set allows you to build two different versions of the Deku Tree from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild with unique features that are a great fit for the nature of the series. I can’t wait for everyone to get the chance to build this part of The Legend of Zelda world with their own hands.”
Eiji Aonuma, Producer of The Legend of Zelda series at Nintendo Co., Ltd
“Our fans have been asking for a LEGO set based on The Legend of Zelda series for a while so we were delighted to work with Nintendo to create the Great Deku Tree in brick form. As a fan of the franchise, it was great to work on this set and fill it with details and references from the games. I’m also glad we managed to offer the choice to build one of two versions to appeal to many Zelda fans. I can’t wait to see the fans’ reaction to this set.”
